13" cycle wings
R1FREESTYLE - 18/5/07 at 10:56 AM

Hi,
I have 13" wheels on my car, the tyres are 195 x 13 x45. At stoneleigh I tried some cycle wings on a car with 13" wheels and they looked daft, far to big a radius. Most seem to be designed for bigger wheels. Does anyone know where I can get some smaller radius cycle wings that will fit a little more snug over 13" wheels/tyre combo. Oh and to make it more complicated I would like a carbon fibre effect on them.

Sorry I can't help with the cycle wings unless you make them yourself.

Do you have any more pictures of your chassis, i'm intrigued...

Hi Paul,

Good to see you over here as well

Have a look in procomp's photoarchive.
I think his cars are often to be seen on 13's (--> think this one might be <--)

Edit:
For real carbon you could get them from Fluke, who I believe have a reputation for high quality and prices.

£95 each for the 13" ones to cover 195 profile (also in Kevlar if a bit of yellow weave floats your boat)

Hi Ian,
Thanks for the advice, I dug up the fluke ones, as you say high quality and price.
I may take a gamble with these, the chap says they are carbon and fit his 14" X 50s well. Price is quite keen......

Have a look at Fluke Motorsport - bit cheaper than Caterham (little bit!), but real c/f and they do different sizes of cycle wing
