Hi Darren

Cutting the exhaust header GRP close to the headers results in burning/discolouration of the GRP. The headers also move a fair bit in expansion/contraction.
There are a number of options

1. Use a heat sink; as many do using aluminium.

2. Cut the gap larger allowing for the heat to reduce before hitting the GRP.

3. Insulate your headers until out of the boddy, stopping heat affecting surrounding area.

Where abouts in South Yorkshire are you?

Steve

going thru an ally panel, I just joddled the inside edge inwards. Tool was a bit of bar with a sawcut in it.

Panels are ali, see attached, still pondering what to cover the edges with as SVA man won't accept the steel re-enforced edging strip.

Helfire, am in Doncaster. Escaped the wata by literally metres
