Whaddya think? I was thinking along the lines of safety and not failing on this. I actually think they look quite good though the photo don't reflect it as much. They're made from an old weight lifting bar thats been drilled and tapped. here

Are they through a hole in the top plate and welded underneath??

Aye,forgot to say in my drunken haze. Yeah they're welded through the plate onto a smaller plate thats also welded inbetween two chassis rails.
