Do we need to trim all the way round the cycle wings. I have the Westfield type with the 'blunted nose'

depends on the edge radius and where the edge can be contacted by the sphere.

if it were me, then I would use one piece all the way round since it looks neater instead of having lots of little short pieces and I reckon one ppiece is less likely to fall off then a sort piece. You can cut off the metal grippy thing ifthe get in the way of the stays like I had to do keeping it one piece.
