bonnet to side pannel
graememk - 17/2/08 at 10:16 PM

after a winter rebuild i'm a bit stuck as to what to use.

between the bonnet and side pannels i used to have tadpole rubber, but i never liked the look, and have been thinking about sticky foam tape, what have you used, photos and ideas please.

thanks
Graememk

Nothing on mine, did'nt want to emphasise the joint.
If I could have got some I was going to fit some clear "helicopter tape" to stop any chafing

Foam sticky is the only way to go, good for doing the wing join as well rather than the usual old fart piping.

Don't bother It just adds weight....

To be honest I've got nothing there and I don't get any rattling, squeeking or clanking to suggest I need it.... At some point I might add some wafer thin self-adhesive foam just to stop chaffing as mentioned....

Have bothered on mine either , just leave the extra gap for hot air to get out.
