I know this is always talked about but cant find quite what i want.
Where is the cheapest place to buy sheet steel and ali online? I dont have time to go to my nearest metal supermarket (100+miles away) and since im not paying for it (6 month early birthday pressy) i thought id buy from the comfort of my broken chair
Parker steel are the cheapest iv found so far at around £30 for a 2m x 1m sheet.
Also, how much do i need for sides, rear, floor, bonnet, scuttle and nose?

The cheapest I found was ISG stockholders, they easily beat parkers on price due to low delivery costs.

The cheapest place for ali is not that far as you get into Uckfield, carry on to Tunbridge Wells and pop into SPA aluminum.

Have you thought about going to a local friendly engineering/fabrication company. They are ordering materials all of the time, they maybe able to tag your order on or may have some in stock. Worth a try I would have thought.

i tried SPA ali yesterday, and for a 2000mm x 1000mm x 3mm they wanted over #100, and that was talking to a guy and asking for an off cut and paying in cash....

needless to say, i decided not to get it from them...
