Rallye_Mark - 30/5/08 at 01:04 PM

Well, browsing the interwebs last night, I stumbled across this amazing car. How much extra weight do you think this body will be over a normal chassis? Perhaps about 50kg's or so?

I LOVE IT!!! I'm seriously thinking about changing my body style to one like this as it looks awesome!!!

I believe is was something like 100KG. It was faster so the extra weight was worth it.

That was my idea behind it, by reducing the drag caused by the open front wheels from the normal locost design, it may weigh slightly more but could make it accelerate the same but handle a lot better. Plus it looks amazing

I'd be surprised if it was as much as 100kgs extra. Not saying it isn't just that it seems like a lot more over and above the standard bodywork.

Must have been aid up pretty thick to be that heavy. I recon it could be done for quite a bit less. Can't prove that, just a semi-educated guess

It must really limit the wheel travel and turning radius I would think. I had a hell of a time trying to come up with a close to the wheel design and finally changed the way it was going on mine.

Very nice car, its look like the cars who run in Le Mans 24 hours. I dont think that structure are too havy, 30/50 kg maybe.
