I'm fitting a new gearbox in over the winter period and thought that if i bought the nose cone in from the garage it wouldn't get damaged, how wrong could I have been.

Yesterday it was bought to my attention that it had been craked and split where the indicator stalk fits on to it.

Does anyone have any adivice how to repair a split/hole in fiberglass??

Drill 2mm holes at the end of the cracks, then V them out, reinforce the back of the repair with CSM and then stopper up the surface and paint.

I agree, the holes are very important as they stop the crack going any further.
