how thick is windscreen glass?

How thick is flat windscreen glass? I'm going to make the panels soon and need to know how thick to make them so that the windscreen rubber will fit. To choose the rubber seal, I need to know how thick the glass is.

Hi,
Mine is 6.4mm laminate, which i believe is standard. I remember watching a programme about the elise though, where they were panicking about the windscreen being less than 9mm - they thought it would break when stressed?

Seals Direct seem to be a good place but Europa Spares and NF auto are amongst the kit car supplies usual suspects.

And what is the width of an MK Indy Windscreen/scuttle ? = I'm at work so cant measure mine .....
