fitting bonnet catches

I am looking at fitting my bonnet catches but have a couple of queries

1. the car is up on stands at the moment - should I wait until it is on the ground before fitting the catches. The reason I am asking is the car is currently horizontal but will be angled once on the ground due to difference in height between the front and back. Thus will fitting now make them look straight (veritcal) but once on the ground will they be at an angle - am I worrying over nothing with this ?

2. how close to the end of the bonnet (lenghtwise) should the catches be fitted ?

cheers

Fit them when you like , but dont try to compensate for the angle of the car, just fit them dead straight.
looking at most I guess 4-6" from the end is about right

Yes you use rivets to secure.

This is where I fitted some - seemed to give really nice pull down on the MNR bonnet...
