Boot boxes

Right dont take the wee.

Has anyone made a boot box by screwing one of them plastic storage boxes under the rear panel with a hinged lid?

Im trying to be as lazy as i can with my winter mods.

Nearly finished mine.
Ally angle frame rivvetted up and will be completely removable on a couple of dzus fastners as it wont be something to show off, just practical, clean waterproof space for ford or clothes when we go further afield

Well spotted.

Our boot box got made the night before we left to go on a 3 day trip.
made of chequer plate ali and riveted in.
Waterproof its not but we always use sailing bags to pack our gear http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Gill-Wet-Dry-Bag-25L-L053-Brand-New-Keep-clothes-Dry_W0QQitemZ190359507844QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Sporting_Goods_Sailing?hash=item 2c524f9384.

A plastic box is just going to crack and drop into the sideshafts and propshaft
hate to think the chaos if the camping gear gets wound up in the wurring bits

I did.

Took a while to find the right sized box but seems to work really well and keeps everything nice and dry.

I think it cost me under £5 for the box so a very locost solution.
