Fitting wing stays

Morning all,

My question is this: How do people with cortina uprights fit their wing stays?

There are three holes in the uprights which line up with the holes in the wing stays.
Are these already threaded (hard to tell on mine, quite a lots of paint) if so when whats the thread?
Or do people tap these holes, if so what to they tap them to (M8?)
Or put a small bolt through with a nut on the other side, the bolt would ahve to be M6 I think?

Thanks

They're already tapped M8 - might need to run a tap through to clean them up though.
