Damm Flexible Ali Bonnet

As per the title ...
having thought about painting it and then having the flexi bonnet shed all the paint - perhaps a bad idea..

Solution Vynil Wrap

So... to confuse the matter .. I have a myriad of colours to choose from..
then I saw textured ... arghhh .... Avatar?? Devil Skin???
Skins

I feel an urge to convert the nose bonnet & scuttle to carbon fibre... !!

Not painted it ..
think i would have had to have added some sort of plastisizer ..
to keep paint from setting rock hard..
However a cheap sheet of vynil wrap over the bonnet .. whoo hoo.. easy peasy..
Paint the rest.. however.. I keep looking at the carbon wrap ...

if you're going to go for vinyl, please don't go for the carbon look stuff, it never actually looks like carbon. If you're going to go carbon, go proper carbon imo. vinyl carbon always looks rubbish to me imo. it doesn't have the gloss of the resin, and with proper carbon and resin you get a depth and holographic look to it. 'carbon' vinyl just looks like, well, textured vinyl

i'd just go for a contrasting colour to the rest of the car on the bonnet, unless you can get an exact match on your paint, or of course vinyl the whole car

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!
