Locost engine bay paint

I'm in the process of rebuilding my locost style car, I've got the engine bay all stripped out and want to paint it all....the metal frame and the bare aluminium panels.

Anyone got any ideas on what I can use? Something that will stick and last longer than 5 minutes.

Ali will need etch priming, so something like u-pol acid #8

Then my favourite to top off this year is teamac plant paint, you can get this from agricultural suppliers. It sprays well, is flexible (the failing of hammerite) and can withstand a fair amount of abuse.

If it can stick to a rusty tractor it will last well on a locost car
