HVAC Ductwork as side panel supply?

While doing a little home remodeling, I noticed that the ductwork for my furnace is about the right width for being trimmed into body panels.

used ductwork from a HVAC company as a donor for body panels (for those of us to broke to buy premade panels), is this an option?

it appears to be galvanized.

Sounds like what we call Zintec. I found some at the scrapyard and used it for the panel behind the seats as I had run out of aluminium and didn't want to buy another sheet just for that bit. It's primed on one side and would be ideal for painting, it's also very thin so it cuts easily with snips. It might dent easily but there will be plenty of support behind it so it should be o.k.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
