Cycle wing edge trim

I've fitted some edge trim to my front cycle wings. It looks nice but because the trim has two rubber prongs on the inside, to grip the panel, the edges stand proud of the GRP by a millimetre or two. The edge of the trim itself is 1 or 1.5mm thick and so doesn't have a 2.5mm radius. Is this a likely SVA fail?

I can't remeber the exact details at the moment (wheres that SVA manual got to now?), but the radious of a corner depends on how proud the corner is of a pannel. IIRC If it sticks out less that 1.5mm then it only needs to be a blunt edge.
