PVA
I've a little bit of pooling, but not a lot - should cover with a second coat.
Any idea how long it should take to go off?

i found the longer the better the trouble with it, is it dissolves the first layer if you dont leave it long enough and then you end up with
puddles
i left it over night beetween coats two coats was enough for mine sprayed on

OK...I found that the sprayed PVA pooled terribly (guess I may not have polished the wax off well enough)
However, dabbing on with a sponge, then going over it again 15-20 minutes later has done the trick...is nice and tack now, and evenly covered!!!
Gelcoat tomorrow!!

i found the pva the hardest bit to get right
if you can that sussed to a good finish the rest is easy.

Polish off the wax then pva, should air dry in no time in right environment, you only need one coat of pva.
Some even add another wax on top of the pva on sensitive new plugs...just in case 
You won't get a very shiney finish moulding from a pva coated plug but then the mould can be worked on to get that

Got a polisher on order, and a tube of Farecla G3...that should do the job, no?
