Yellow RAL Code

Anyone any idea which RAL code most manufacturers use for their yellow gelcoat?

Ideally after the same colour Sylva used - see the Strikers on the SSR homepage

Lemon yellow from CFS, but then there is signal etc
Your best bet is to contact Sylva to see if they know the RAL or BS code.

Warning though same ral and BS code from different manufacturers of pigment can vary.....been caught out on that one myself, only tell once the stuff is made and stood next to each other.......and all you can say is...Arse!

My Daughter has taken over production of the damn fine Triton race seats and her contact email is emmatrs@live.co.uk.

I've sprayed my new taller roll bar in RAL1004. I've not had it bolted up to the chassis to compare with them adjacent, but the test piece i did was pretty close. When i was looking I thought it was 1023 until I found the swatch for 1004.

I spoke to Jeremy Phillips to ask him but he just said it was whatever yellow the powders coaters he used had.

Take your front mudguard to a paint shop and they'll tell you. They will mix you a good match to it as well.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

If they do and the local council find out, they will be shut down within 24 hours.

Thats the new all friendly EPA/HSW regs for you

If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

They sold me some last week so they can't be that worried about it. They do stipulate that it is for professional use only . You can buy paint or thinners from our local diy shop in tins ready mixed, cellulose, gloss or enamel readily available to the public, what's the difference?

P.S. I would be more worried about people buying large quantities of fibreglassing materials and not knowing what they are doing with them. What are the regs on disposing of styrenes, do you have to double bag them before you put them in the bin?

When compared with the swatches, it looks like the gelcoat is more like 1003....nothing like consistency, huh?
