Lexan bonnet scoop?
What does anyone think about having a bonnet scoop made from smoked Lexan?
I imagine it would be relatively easy to make - just a couple of bends, with the front open for air entry, and would look different, anyway!
Only problem I can think of is heat - would it melt?

Doubt it,
I'm sure I read that Nitro powered remote control car body shells are made of Lexan
and they get pretty hot with air cooled engines in them.

vac form benches are pretty cool, i used on in my electronics gcse. they produce plastic items by heating up the plastic til its able to form around a
plug that has been made in the shape u want to have. we used wood.
the plastic is pulled around the former by a vacuum supply. til its cooled and hardened.
hope that makes sense, am sure someone will do a better job if it doesn't!
