bonnet - xflow to zetec
Hello.
Does this nightmare ever end? I have hit another snag today, with the zetec in place I thought I would look to see how the bonnet would fit.
Compared to the xflow I didn't realise how high it was!
How have other people who have done the xflow to zetec conversion managed with there bonnets? What kind of buldges are there on the market?
Please help, only weeks until Stoneleigh!
Kind regards
Mark

whats the size difference between the xflow and zetec?
(errm, measured from the bottom of the block / top of the sump join)
Heard somewhere its 2" If so i'd be stuffed with mine.
MK, Mac1 and MNR all do bonet bulges i believe.

about 2 inch sounds right, the only problem is it seems to be 2inch all over not just one part.

MarkP,
I have a mould for a bulge that will probably cover the engine.
Contact me off-list (stephen at bubs dot net) and I'll get measurements for you.
Only got the negative mould at the moment - not pulled any GRP parts off yet. However, a very poor plaster of paris buck was made from it, and this is
in my photo archive.

Does anyone have any photos of the mk, mac#1, mnr buldges?
Stevebubs, thanks for the offer, I will see how much needs to come off first.
