Boot Floor or not for SVA
Simple question really. Do we make any kind of cover in the back or leave open for SVA?

It seems to depend on which centre and which tester you use, but at least some of them count things in an open boot areas as worthy of testing with
their ball. Safest is to cover it up. If you make a locking boot cover, make sure that the edges of the lock are radiused sufficiently, or the lock is
recessed somehow.

Just bolt a bit of vinyl covered ply on top for now and then you can always alter it or remove it after SVA.

That's roughly what I did - a couple of bits of MDF shaped, painted and bolted on to make a lid. The trick is to make it look like it's
what you intended to do!

My understanding was that it didn't need to be covered but for the little effort involved you would be as well to do it i reckons.

I made a top cover from one piece of black (ABS?) plastic sheet and mounted it to the top of rear panel. Screws at the back (near rear bulkhead) and
strong velcro at other end. Was supposed to be temporary but still on now 9 months later - looks OK.
My SVA man wanted to see inside, very easy to remove.
