My Ears Stick Out Of My Nose!
Got some of my bodywork today, Luego Velocity, excellent customer services, packaging, the lot. When I've offered my nosecone up I noticed the
the chassis 'ears' on the front stick out from the nose slightly. Is this normal? Looking at a couple of other cars I reckon it may be but
will it cause problems with the SVA man?

It is a problem for the SVA, cover them with rubber strip, tie wraped on. Make sure that the buckles of the tie wraps are on the inside so that they
themselves don't present a sharp edge.
cheers

Bugger. Was thinking of possibly modifying the front and cutting th'ears off but don't know. Its a lot of peeing around.

That is the neat way to do it if you can - but as you say, involves a lot of work. It is one of the nice points in the new book I think - the absence
of the ears. Trouble is Chris wrote it too late!

I've just been trawling the photo archives and TangerineScream seems to have had the same problem but has covered them by using a plate type
bracket to hold on his indicator. Could this work? Otherwise, its the chop I think.

I got over it by modifying the nose and making bulges to cover the ears . My early Luego locost bodywork was crap anyhow

Hmm never thought of that. I could make some kinda pod moulds over half a tennis ball or summat with a taper on and then use them. Cheers nuts.

My ears were not accessible with the SVA sphere - because of my headlight brackets I think - so no probs for me.......
Bob
PS my headlight beackets bolt to the front upper wishbone bracket and the shock bracket

I've welded my headlight brackets to my ears.

Ah just seen your photos Bob. Thats same as mine, different colour mind. And you got away with that? Nice work with the small tyres around the
suspension struts by the way.
