rear arches

Just starting to get to grips with the bodywork. where would anyone recomend getting some suitably wide rear arches from.

ill be running 10" rims on the back prob with 255/40 17 tyres .

think ill need an arch around 13 1/2" wide . does anyone make anything like that size or is it one more thing to add to the list of things to make.

Pete

10" rims? Aren't they a tad too big for 255/40? I'm using 8" for 245/35.

Cheers,
Raz

i could widen them but it would be nice not to need to. does anyone do cheap skinny ones if im going to have to widen them?

255s should be fine i like the stretched look and ive had no problems running 195s on an 8" rim before. current tyres are 265's and look about right but the 255s are alot cheaper.

which ever way it should look mean!

ill post some pics soon

I have 285's on my 10" rims, bought the arches from the people who do the Mirach, RJH panels, they were the only ones I could find big enough - will be doing my own for the new car soon, but not just yet.

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

I'd look at the Dax Rush wide rear arches. I'm currently building my Rush with them and have 255 40 17" Toyo R888 tyres. The arches are wide but even so I'm stuggling to get them in without having the tyres rubbing on them.

One thing to note is that the face of the arches that attach to the boot tub isn't flat, so might need to be modified to work in your build.

Hope that's some help.
