perspex
i am thinking of doing rear boot cover in perspex with something fancy cut out of it and a different colour bonded under cut out . thought plese on
suitability of product or alternatives .thinking perspex as of range of colours etc

decent thickness of perspex can be very expensive  I actually wanted to do some perspex speaker cabinets for my room, witha nice steel box section
frame inside, and maybe some blue/green (maybe both, like blue at the top and green at the botom) LED lighting inside. kinda funky like, but as i
remember 1/2" thick persoex was something rediculous like £100 per square meter or something.
put an end to my plans, so i bought some speakers for £100 instead

You might find a suitable sized piece of Lexan at your local glazing shop for a reasonable price. Lexan is much stronger than Perpex, so you can use
it thinner. If you wanted, you could stick some thinner coloured perspex underneath

Would suggest polycarbonate over perspex as if something (a brick, for example) lands on it polycarbonate won't shatter.
