What size / thinkness (gauge) of alu would be suitable for the floor in the car, and the other panels, i need to order some this week and i'm not sure what to buy.

Thanks

I believe someone else posted about this recently so maybe a search will give you a better idea, but I have used 2mm for the floor and driver footwell, and 0.9mm for all interior panels and side skins.

sounds about right = bear in mind that aluminium floor is not allow in the 750 race series - someone will no doubt correct me on that.

Unless you are correct, which I believe you are.
However blade engines are banned, you have to use a crossflow

Some use 1.6mm on the floor (same a westfield/caterham?) but most choose 2mm I think.

On this subject, any good places to order some 2mm and some price estimates?

But you can race in RGB in the 750mc if you have a bike engine, and in the kitcar class if it is a car engine but not a 1300cc crossflow.

Hi the only race championship that requries a steel floor is the 750 locost championship.

Both RGB and KITS CAN use ally floors. Sorry if it sounds like i bang on about it but people have read the wrong info both on here and from a certain manufacturer regarding floors and it has cost them time and money.

cheers matt
