There was some mention of this a while back. If the vehicle is not intended for daytime use you might get away with it iirc, but God knows how you
prove that.

seen plenty of road legal motorbikes without front lights... don't see why they should have any different rules

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I'm sure there is someone on here with an SVA'd car that has no headlights? SVA for daylight use only.....
I think it is a F1 replica?

I posed this question a while back.
There is I believe a daylight MOT for cars and motorcycles, however for an SVA pass all lights must be present.
If you wanted then, i suppose you could remove front headlights (and indicators as well I believe, although this must be dangerous) after SVA and
apply for the daylight MOT when the time comes.
If you are asking from the point of saving money as I was, then I am afraid you will be dissapointed!
Hope this helps to clear up the issue
James

Ask at the test station.
I think you will still need indicators and brake lights for a car MOT on a new build.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

There is no such thing as a daylight MOT as such, it just an MOT but your only allowed to use the vehicle during good light conditions.
HOWEVER - If it RAINS you WILL get pulled by a copper.
I ride supermoto and a mate runs no front light on his, he got pulled in the rain as he couldn't be seen clearly - however it was still
daylight.
One to beware of!
