Mounting Glass Nose Bonnet and Scuttle ?

How did you mount yours.

I have 4 Spring and Hooks for the Bonnet, but not sure how to mount the Scuttle or Nose. I was thinking a 10-32 or 1/4 24 bolt from under then a washer and nut. I do worry that the cat hair style glass work will crack and fly off at 100mph with this setup.

If you have the cure, send a couple photos my way.

Thanks.

I put a small strip of hing alone the bottom rail on the chassis and then two bolts on the the top rails.

They all you do is remove the two top bolts and the nose cone hinges forward. small bit of cord stops it tipping to far forward.

Scot's do it better in Kilts.

Are you aiming for an SVA test? 'Cos the spring and hook type fixings won't pass on external projections.

cheers

Chris

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

He is in the US, so no

I just used M6 (1/4) bolts with large repair washers to hold down my GRP scuttle and nose.
