Tonneau fixings
Does SVA man check the fittings with the tonneau removed? I can't see any of them meeting radius requirements - even the press stud type studs
would surely fail if checked 'bare'.
I would much rather have a fitted tonneau than a boot cover, so it would be nice to think a tonneau would pass straight away.

I think he will test as seen and obviously you need to have it removed in order to drive it
You must be able to get something with a bigger radius to go on them when they are not in use.
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Lift-the-dots are a fail, I'm not sure about the press studs. To be certain there was no issue, before SVA I removed them all and put button
heads in their place. I trailered the car to the test and had a car cover in case it rained.

i went to sva with a DAX supplied tonneau, i fixed it on with 10 press studs, 4 across the bulkhead and 6 around the boot tub, my inspector asked to
look in the boot and that was it, didn't check the press studs at all, in fact he just said "you can put your boot cover back on
now" and that was it. then he got in the car and ragged it around the car park for 5 minutes!
I love Pinto's, even if i did get mine from P&O!
