tinting film, how strong is the bond to the glass?

My new car will have windows all round. I came up with the idea of sticking a loop of tinting film round the edge of the glass to hide the glue then bond that to the car so that the windows have no visible fixings, like modern cars. PU adhesive will stick the film to the car no problem. How well will the film hold in the glass?

I'll use 5% "limo" film which is dark. Hopefully, you won't see the glue through the film too much.

I doubt if they will stay put very well - after all , it's not hard to peel window film off !
What I did with my screen (lotus Elan , normally fitted in a rubber but bonded into the Fury) was to paint a `surround` onto the screen with the etch primer used by window fitter's , and bond in as normal .

Its cuz I is blond , innit
