Wheels help

Hi everyone.

I'm looking for a second set of wheels (for track tyres) for my MK Indy R. It runs 15x6.5 ET 38 pcd 108 4 bolt wheels. I'm after lightweight black ones.

I was going to buy some rota slipstreams but I can't get any in that size (or even 15x7 with the st of the specifications the same) for love nor money.

I was hope someone on here might have some ideas please?

Thanks

Rich

They are only around £430 a set.

Maybe I should go for smaller wheels and get more rubber. Would I justgo for the same offset and width but get tyres with a larger sidewall so the overall size was the same?

a 195/50/15 has a nearly identical rolling radius as a 205/60/13. obviously the 13"s will be way lighter too.
take a look in my blog,i run the caterham r500 13" wheels on my mnr. you may like the style.

Thanks. Do you think they will be ok fitting in my cycle wings? The 195/50/15 just fit now.

As you want these for track days then get 13" wheels and second hand slicks, you will love the grip and tyres are £15 a pop and will last surprisingly well.

just make sure the 13" rims will clear your brakes

Very good point. I've got reasonably large will woods on there. Thanks.

13 inch wheels won't fit over my brakes, certainly not at the front. Looking at it the 15s have a max of 2 inches clearance so it would be very close at best.

Ill have to get 15s which is fine, it handles fine on the current ones. I may be stuck with getting some slipstreams in ET 40 and running 2mm spacers.

Any thoughts on that please?
