Camo paint job test for the old tin top

Hi

Well after looking at many vids on you tube I settled on an outrageously simple method of just a torn cardboard shield and hand paint with rattle cans. So had a go on a spare bootlid.

Tbh I'm quite surprised at how well it looks especially as its a first attempt, personally I think it looks better than many of the £1500 vinyl wraps I've seen

Like it so much I think I will do my Landy in it after the tin top

What you think?

That looks really good, well done! This might be a bit cheeky, but could you post a link to one of the youtube video's that inspired this creation? I'd love to see it in action.

Isn't there a danger that other drivers simply won't see you ?

Thanks

Considering absolutely zero skill was applied the results are much better than expected, everyone at work seems to like it also

It's a good point Macbeast, hence I decided to not do it in a Forrest colour scheme, the arctic type colours should stand out like a sore thumb

The youtube vid was

HA HA HA that's a joke right ( or you've never driven in Aberdeen ) Ask Whippy he was a bus driver and they probably never even noticed that.

Camo will prob be more noticeable than cerise pink with blue flowers painted on.

If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

I think camo in the wrong colours for its environment actually stand out more or catches your eye easier due to not fitting in. I do worry about some of the motor bikes I see on the web done in greens, could be a huge mistake on country roads.

Your right about Aberdeen drivers, the standard here is very low plus agressive and totally inconsiderate

Yeah but it was also a good point really, you do have to be careful which you go for and in the wrong environment a camo scheme can make a vehicle difficult to pick out and lead to a crash. I think it can also sometimes prevent people registering that there is a vehicle there if they are not looking for something so different, much like the problems motor bikes have.
