Rivet size, what do I need to specify on order

I want to order 4.0mm alu/stainless rivets (see below for 4.8mm prices), however I want to be sure I order the correct size. 4.8 is obviously the hole size! I am assuming the x11 to be the body length (alu bit). Is this an ok length for fixing floor and panels to chassis. What is the grip length.

I am opting for 4.0mm rather than 4.8mm as I only want to order 1 size to cover all uses (Floor, tran tunnel, seat back etc.)

Hope someone can tell me as I want to get the floor on quickly.

4.8 x 11 sealed aluminium rivets - grip 4.5 - 6mm
Prices per 1000
Aluminium Body / Steel Mandrel £14.19
Aluminiumj Body/ Stainless Mandrel £44.00
All stainless steel £53.57

the grip range seems very limited

are you sure that everything you want to rivet will be within this band ?

No not really, that is why I am asking the question as to what does the grip range mean and also whether x11 is too long or not long enough.

Thanks, Andy
