Cycle Wings and wheel size

I have a problem..

The front wheels on my Viento are ment to be 17" x7 with 205 tyres but Image wheels are far too expensie so I got a quote from Compomotive as the front and back have different offsets ( back are 17"X8 with 235 tyres).

Good price ( about £1000 cheaper than Image ) BUT they only have 17 x7.5 for the front.

These can still have 205 tyers but will this wider wheel cause me probles with my Cycle wings and sva test ?

Does the fact that they will still have 205 tyres mean they will still have the same width at the top?

Paul,

Just looked at mine and the rims are parallel with the edges of the mudguard.
The tyres actually protude about 1/4" passed each edge.

Thanks for the info Clive.

Was going for the compomotive CXR wheels but have just emailed back to see if they have the Mo wheels in the correct sizes.

Borrow some wheels/tyres for SVA - then swap 'em
