I was going to do my mini this way and read up about it. it looks like a good way of painting a car cheaply. The results are good providing you take
care in wet sanding after each layer.
I have a tin of Aurum white and a tin of black if anyones interested!

There used to be a paint by Parsons called Parsons Repaint for cars which was applicable by brush or spray. I used Stokes enamel paint thinned 20% to
do a Transit pickup and no-one would believe that it was brush painted as it levelled all its brush marks out beautifully.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I used the very same stuff in the 70's iirc - painted my Bedford CF van with it and the results were pretty good.

Great links.......does anyone think the guy with the charger might work for the paint company? sounds like a bit of viral marketing to me.
But of course I will try it wonder if it works on grp? And what would be the equivalent product in the UK?

aston martins were painter by hand in ye days of olde - you need a good quality paint brush.
it may be locust - I have done similar /spray/sand/wait to dry/spray/sand/wait to dry etc and although you get a good finish eventually, it is the
sanding down that thats a long long time....

Sounds like it my be worth a go though.
Hammerhead, this may answer your question " I’ve painted motorcycle gas tanks and plastic covers, 3 cars, over base clear, the front fenders on
the charger are fiberglass, no issues" taken from the thread and written by the guy with the charger!
Regards Chris
