Ali nosecones
Does anyone know if there is a manufacturer that makes an ali nosecose for the book chassis (for a realistic price)

I don't know of any manufacturers, but any of the Cobra ally body manufacturers would be the first place to look.
What is a reasonable price? I think it would take a craftsman about 2 days to make assuming he already has a hardwood plug of the nosecone, I would
think £500 would be reasonable for a bespoke item
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

in that case, how long would an accurate plug take to make, or if someone can supply a wooden plug for me to have a play with.....
only interested as it would be different

I have read about the other one on the forum, but have not seen any pictures as yet.
Would look good in ali, but is the extra blood, sweat, tears and expense worth it when I could by one from £50 in GRP

I think Chrisg's is aluminium but it's painted. Fibreglass painted silver would be easier. C@terham used to do one but it would not be
locost.
yours, Pete.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Yep, I made mine in ali but painted it to fit in with my colour scheme.
or
because it took six months and still had to have a "skim"
You decide
Cheers

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the
error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

thanks for all your comments, the ali idea has been thrown out of the window. GRP is the winner
