Not heard of anyone with fit problems.
GTS bodywork has a reputation of being some of the best fitting out there. Call Darren at Kit Car Builds (dont know their tel no off top of my head)
and have a word with him. Sure he will help you out.

I placed my first order with GTS at the begining of november, and it eventually arrived before christmas after quite abit of chasing. To say i was a
little disapointed when i open the package was an understatement. Half the bits were missing, which i'm still waiting for.
i don't think i'll be using them again

Hi Scoop
I'm not getting on well at all.
Her indoors decided that we should relocate to Suffolk. We did that and found that the house we bought needed one hell of a lot of work doing. eg.
bathroom, flooring and to top it all a new boiler (not the wife but a combi).
So from starting my build to nothing in a matter of months.
Its so frustrating. I've decided on what I'm going to build, I just have no cash to do it with.
I'm determined to start this year even if the kids go without shoes (Joking)
Glad your getting on. Your chassis looked great and the welding was superb.
Must find some time to come and see you again.
Cheers
Mark

Call me a cynic, but when I was researching which "kit" of bits to buy as a starter for 10 on my build, I seriously considered GTS, and
spoke to darren about the possibility of a narrow de-dion setup to book track width which he confirmed as no problem.
After further research though, I came to the conclusion that a company that could not offer a picture of a finished car (at the time) only part built
show items, was not worth considering....................
I still have not seen a finished GTS car??????
Anybody??
Sorry folks but go and speak to Marc Norden. I know that won't help those with bodywork issues, but MNR give a service which I cannot fault at
all!!!
I ended up using Stuart Taylor bits, which are ready on time-ish and are cheap, but not all that nicely made.
If I had known about MNR at the time I bought my chassis etc they would have got the order.
Simple answer to save hassle for those who have yet to buy.......don't buy GTS!

I had fit problems with GTS bodywork. And it isn't symmetrical. I've yet to see any GTS parts that I would call good quality.

Sounds like you need luego velocity bodywork, its an inch or two taller at the nosecone and will fit a book chassis afaik. I'm sure they can
accomodate your colour as I've seen an orange viento demo car in the past!
I nearly bought velocity bodywork but they couldn't do a bonnet without the bulge/vent and I wanted classic simple lines.
Hope this helps..
Ned.

Ned, thanks. Ill take some measurements from my nose cone and see what they can do.
Tried the Kitcar building company number and was told that Darren had broken down on the way to work. Went out shopping in Norwich all day, came back
and guess what . . . nothing to suggest that he had tried to return my call.

I phone him on the workshop number and get through to someone nearly every time, its not always Darren but whoever it is always try's to be
helpful.
My understanding (rightly or wrongly) is that they had tons of manufacturer issues last year and as a result have moved most of their production
"in house" but they are now having to try and catch up with back orders, i went to the workshop last week and it mental busy.
Not making excuses for them, just thought i'd share what i know with you guys. Cheers.

Sounds to me like someone should send a copy of these posts to GTS. If they are aware of the fact that their customer service is rubbish and that
ultimately it will lose them more business than it has already, perhaps they will become more customer orientated. From reading previous posts, as
well as this one, it's a wonder they have any customers left. Anyone reading this is bound to be put off using them!
If there is anyone on here who knows Darren personally or who speaks to him regularly (I see there are one or two people who apparently have no touble
getting hold of him) do the guy a favour and have a word before he goes out of business, which would be a shame as his stuff is good quality.
Cheers
