Spec me some paint!
I'm looking for some recommendations for chassis paint, this is fairly temporary in case SVA requires I make any serious structural
changes...
I'm after a satin finish black, and am wanting to spray it with a HVLP gun
I presume I need a zinc oxide type grey primer first, then the finish coat....
If I can get the paint from one supplier that would be helpful...

I used synthetic and dont recomend it at all. It still marks six weeks after aplication and chips ever so easy.
I wish I had spent the extra and bought epoxy paint.
You live and learn.

It looks crap if brushed.

I would use an etch primer first as name says the acid in it etches into the metal giving a good bond between metal and paint

Nitram has used this to great effect, I think this is a gloss finish though?
