Stone Guards
After my airfield day yesterday my lovely shiny rear arches are now absolutely splattered with stone chips covering approx the first 30cm of the
leading edge of the arch - couldn't see it til I cleaned all the dust off today!! Anyway, I need to invest in some stone guards and fancy some
plain black (ideally) or carbon ones. I've got the narrower 10.5" rear wings. Can anyone recommend me some or some materials I can cut
to suit.
Thanks,
Matt

Covered mine in some Clear Armourfend type film off ebay and seems to have worked well
Might be worth considering when you fit your new ones ?

Hi Matt,
Kit Part Directs do a pair of carbon ones quite cheap, near the bottom of this page http://www.kitpartsdirect.com/page25.htm
Not sure if this is the same seller on ebay but they look similar
Robin Hood Westfield Caterham kitcar carbon stone guard on eBay (end time 12-May-11 11:23:56 BST)
Was going to get some for mine but not got round to it yet

Hi Lee,
Long time no speak / mail. How's the build coming along?
Re the stone guards thanks for the mail, the sad thing is I bought a pair of those weeks back and when they arrived, the qulaity was so bad I sent
them straight back....got a full refund but quality was shocking. You'd do well to buy some others if my experience is anything to go by.
HTH,
Matt

Hi Matt,
Thanks for the tip on those stone guards, I'll steer clear. My build is going slow, I keep re-doing jobs as I'm not 100% happy with the
first attempt, re-routing rear loom, brake mounts etc.. Hoping to get engine started soon though
Your car is looking very nice, good luck with IVA

Di-Noc Stone Guards
You could Use 3m Di-Noc film.
Relatively cheap, easily replaceable, Neat Carbon Fiber look.
You may upgrade at a latter date to a more definitive material as Satinless or ali.
