Does anybody have another body design for the Locost?
As the subject says, has anyone put another body on a Locost, other than a "sevenesque" type body?
Like a car body with an overhang or something? I know this is the Locost forum (and a lot specialize in a seven-type roadster), but the seven body
doesn't really catch my fancy (apologies to Seven lovers worldwide)... it's just to... um... "British" for me (no offense to
Brits of course)...
EDIT: Found this thread:

Anyone have any additional info that you care to add? Thanks...

Hi, For my uni dissertation, im developing an alternative body design to that of the classic seven. got a few ideas in the pipeline, GT style, more
conventional styles, and a couple of concept ideas.
i would be interested to hear if you (or anyone else has any ideas/suggestions for alternative shapes)
ultimately, im hopefully going to produce one full size set - and maybe more if anyone is interested.
cheers,
tom

have a look at these - the poll 'finished' with design 'C' as the most popular, but it hasn't convinced us to push ahead
with production...
Best Regards,
Steve.

If you look hard enough, you can find some decent photos of more roadsterish (classic US muscle car). The big difference of course being the nosecone.
There are also a few futuristic renderings that would be beautiful in real life.

what about something from the 50's and 60's such as the Mistral body used on Buckler DD2.
Very Ferrari very curvy and will fit book wheelbase and track.
Search google for Buckler DD2 then come back and ask where one can be bought.

Have a look in "Locost related" at Rob Lanes posting of "My latest project."
The chassis is very similar to the Locost but ,after looking at it in the flesh I actually think it is a slightly better designed chassis.Better
suspension travel and more footwell room, and probably stiffer in the frontal area.
Very pretty in the style similar to the old nobblies or lister specials,of course the design dates back to the late fifties when it was orignally
designed as special for racing.(Falcon,Elva ,Gemini?)
This boy may also lend itself to the Locost chassis, but to be honest the original chassis has a lot mre engine bay area>

Alternate body style
These guys have a couple of body styles to suit a 7-style chassis:
