Alternative body styles
I'm going to have to start skinning the chassis soon & the thought struck me - will any of the other kit bodies fit nicely on a standard
locost chassis, e.g. fisher fury, ST phoenix (which I quite like the look of) or similar. Anybody looked at this?
Cheers

What about the Triton Lotus 11 chassis?
It's available throught GTS so check their website and ask Darren what it'll take to mount the GRP on your chassis.

the agm wlr body goes onto a modified indy chassis so that should fit a locost. also see steve turners designs for possible future locost
bodyshapes..

I'm sure it would'nt take a genius to fabricate some mounts. All you need to do is see how these bodies are mounted and do a similar
thing.

IIRC smoeone said that the phoenix and striker chassis' are very similar (both originating from Sylva) or the same and the phoenix body can be
dropped on the striker chassis which can't be that far off a locost chassis...
maybe worth speaking to stuart taylor as they sell the phoenix and their locost so might have already tried it i suspect.

Current issue of Autosport has a picture of Chevron B1, a bit of googling and it
seems that it's back in production.

Cheers folks - doesn't sound like anyone's tried it for real, I dropped ST an email but haven't heard anything (maybe they're
still on holiday...) The phoenix photos look nice but it's hard to tell just how impossible jobs are till you try 'em

Ian Grey is a very busy man, and hardly ever replies to mail. The phoenix chassis is very different.

I was never that keen on the lotus 11 look (apologies to frank costin). I hadn't seen the chevron before, but it's also not quite what
I'm looking for!
cheers

I'm sort of ambivalent about the 11 (for a personal car), the main points of discontent being the pod behind the driver's head and the
enclosed wheels.
White Pointer in Oz makes a car (the CS Bella) without either of these, and I think it looks great:

Don't know if it would fit on a locost chassis but YKC Sports Cars do a fully enclosed body (F27KR)
which goes with their F27 chassis, also available with 7 type bodywork.
