dblissett,

The 1-145 are known as BIN's and simply represent a value. You are right to assume the BIN's on the main files I have on the site are Vacumn, but this is a linuar scale in the rough map I'm using.

I have replaced the BIN values with vacumn values of 20kpa to 110kpa. For TPS you simply need to replace these with a range from your minium to maxium values. Remember the MegaJolt software will still show your values in kpa. If you use the realtime display while the engine is off to see what you thottle closed & fully open values are you can work out a suitable scale.

Also remember the spreadsheet witht he Vauxhall maps in are too big for MegaJolt as that is only 10x10. There is a converter spreadsheet included.

BTW: After the convertion has done the interpolation (spelling???) my maps max advance is 38Deg + 10Deg applied by the EDIS module = 48Deg.

I think your right, after I posted I thought long and hard about whether or not 10 degrees had to be added for the EDIS module and decided that I someone would know either way and correct me if I'm wrong.

I stand corrected

I dont know the state of tune off the top of my head as the map was not produced by me, but I will look it up and get back to you.

vac advance

hello pioneerx i am not to sure either
for example a
when my pinto is running at 3600rpm with the throttle wide open the advance will be 38 degrees but when i close the throttle should the vac advance it a further 15 degrees ie a total of 53 degrees
or should the total advance never exceed 38 degrees
so example b
when running at 2000rpm advance should be about 20 degrees with a wide open throtle and 35 degrees( 20 degrees pluss 15 vac advance) with it closed
i can the plot the rest of the curve
i know this wont be spot on but it should be close enough to get it on a rolling road
am i right or just going mad slowly
cheers dave

Pinto Maps

Dave - I've now updated my website with a 3D Pinto map, suitable for tuned Pinto's reving to 6k. If yours goes more than this then let me know and I'll upload a modified map which goes up to 8k.

Do note, you'll probably have to change the values on the TPS to suit your setup.

Matt interesting stuff on your web site. I'm just about to order a MSnS from Bill. Getting a built unit though. I was also after some baseline maps to start working with.
Only thing is i'm running a 2.0 pinto with a turbo. Not sure when the ignition needs to be retarded from, listen for the rattle i guess
