Underseal for wings

Can anyone recommend something for me to seal the underside of my wings to stop stones chipping the GPR.

Was thinking about some rubber matting, but then though some thick rubbery underseal would be alot easier to apply and probably lighter.

Thanks

Chris,

I think most motor factors could supply you with something.

It was years ago now, but I had to put a new wing on stepmothers golf and the stuff I used was incredibly thick.

Came from local factors, but can't remember what it was called

You need to be a bit careful as some underseals can bleed into the fibreglass and cause discolouration.

This is the best stuff I have seen

what about a couple of tubes of sikaflex squirted out and painted on with a brush nice and thick. Silicon would do as well but could cause problems if you ever need to repaint.

Mark Allanson recommended brushable seam sealer to me (basically sikaflex in a can). Cost £12 (IIRC) for a litre. Easily brushed on, sticks very well and drys rubbery. As far as I can tell it is the same stuff the NF Auto people sell called Wunderseal, only cheaper. It worked for me. Just make sure you use it in a well ventilated area because it really gives off some fumes.

Your local paint / bodyshop should have it
