Bonnet fixing.
I've just got a new bonnet for my Indy and now looking for a neat solution for the fixings. I don't need to worry about SVA. I used Dzus
fixings first time round but found very tricky to fit without access to the engine compartment with the bonnet in place.
I was thinking of using slot in arrangement at one end as per Westfield, but am open to any ideas.

Use Citroen bonnet catches
2nd time lucky ... damn XP .. rubbish!
Use the catch from *X models, AX having the lightest opening/stricker spring.
All the others have an extra heavier spring but thta can be removed.
Nice release lever and cable too.

Lever mounts on 2 M6 bolts.
Weld stricker bar from original bonnet to a plate with holes in and bond this to the inside of bonnet.
Catch can be mounted straight onto the chassis tubes.
Use pins ala Westfield on the front edge, the catches on the back edge and there you have it .... no visable fixings and a perfectly located bonnet.

No mate, sorry.
I have not really taken photos of my builds before and the dog damaged my good lady's digital camera.
I have just got back in form the breaker and in my fav one there must be 20 cars all with at least one (XM and Xantia use 2) of these.
When I get the cam back I'll put some pics in of the parts.
What to wait a while (2 decades at current rate of no progress/week) before you can see it on a car.
The catches mount to flat panels (or chassis tubes) with 2 bolts. Really is easy.
The hardest bit is getting the angle of the striker pin right before bonding it to the bonnet sides.

I had a good look at these at the Stafford show (Tiffosi stand). They seem good and work ok but there is nothing you can do to hide them really. I
have this thing about fastener heads being evil and as such they must not be visable if at all possible.
They are a little over priced for my pocket too at £45 for the locking ones.
I'm staying with the Cit' catches for now. She who understands the camera (I got confussed by all the options on a box brownie .......
surely the computers should sort it all out these days, why do I have to adjust things I didn't know existed?) is back this afternoon. I will
try and get her to take some pictures of the catches and releases.
