Is a grille required for the SVA?

I was wondering (I know a very dangerouse thing) is a grille required for the SVA????

I was thinking of using a fine metal mesh painted black as a grille. to allow it to be removable i was going to fix it with angles rivited of glued to the nose cone and the mesh screwed to it. (see below)

what do you all think?

Looks Ok to me. Golden rule is no sharp edges - ie correct radii and your idea certailnly looks like it will prevent access to rad / fan etc.

Why do you want it easily removable, the full nosecone will be just as quick to take off and give better access. Im going to PU my grill in place.

Ditch,

Reading your previous thread, I'm thinking you have a good source of cheap ally angle?

My nose cone is fitted exactly as you are planning to. Takes a couple of miutes to remove/refit and seems pretty secure.

Grille wise I'm going to PU mine in place and add a couple of rivets for good measure.

HTH
Nick
