I think I've just made my first mistake!
I have got a bit carried away with my electrolysis machine (tub ) and cleaned up the exhaust manifold which came up lovely and showed up a slight
crack, so welded that up and ground it back down, looked great, I then gave it two coats of red oxide primer, which I think may be a mistake with the
high temperature of the manifold.
What do you think?
Thanks in advance
Rich

Not a permanent problem - it'll soon burn off! (I give it about 1 minute, max)
Simplest solution is to use VHT exhaust paint - just follow the instructions on the can. Available in all sorts of places.

You'll have a burnt-paint smell throughout the house! Hard to conceal...
I recommend a wire brush in an angle-grinder. But maybe not tonight.

Hey DJ you were right, bloody stinks, had to blame the kids for playing with matches
Anyway back on track now, owner of one shiney manifold, glad I asked and didn't wait until it all melted off and sprayed around the engine
bay!
P.S Thanks for the advice, I did take it on board.
Regards
Rich
