Bonnet vents
I'm looking for some advice...
I need to put some air vents in my bonnet, and I was thinking about some 2" dia round holes with mesh behind. Trouble is, I can't make up
my mind where to put them!
My thoughts so far are:
(1) Three or four holes in a row, on each side of the bonnet, just in front of the side indicator repeaters.
(2) A group of holes in the top of the bonnet, just in front of the passenger aeroscreen.
My only concern with the second option is engine fumes coming up at the passenger.
Anyone got any thoughts?
BTW: I need to do something 'cos the air blasting in through the nose cone is lifting the back of the bonnet!
cheers,
David

I'd put them on the side of the bonnet as you are less likely to get water in if it rains.
And believe me if you live in the UK you will get caught in the rain.
Why fumes ? They should be coming out of the end of the exhaust not the engine bay.

OK - "fumes" may not the correct term - I was thinking about the constant stream of hot air that will be coming out the vent, which is
likely to smell of engine.
With a screen, this would miss the passenger, but with no screen the passenger would cop the lot.

"the passenger would cop the lot"
I don't see the problem?
They're sh*t*ng themselves at your driving.
Breaking bones with rock-ard suspension.
Burning legs on exhaust when exiting.
Wots a few fumes between friends?
