Triton, a wee question.

Hay Triton, you seem to be a composite bloke.
What do you use for release agent?
I have been using carnuba wax but doing five coats to a new bumper is a bit of a pain.

New moulds get 7 waxes and pva just to be on the safe side......It's ball ache but better than wasting hours making a plug/mould for it to stick and tear dirty great chunks out.

I have never used pva. Does it go smooth like wax? Do you put it on and then buff it off?

No not smooth and no you don't polish it off....wax then apply pva with a sponge, let it dry then off you go with gel coat etc.

Needs to be washed from mould and finished part with hot soapy water

my mate uses a wax, but i forget the name. He says that first time you need loads, but you can use less and less as time goes on. Cant remember the details, but he said it was a wax he was recommended that wasnt usually the one you'd use.
