Engine valet lacquer removal ????????
I've recently purchased a nice second hand MK4 Golf Gti, but the dealer must have had the full valet including engine bay done before sale.
I like to see a clean engine bay myself, but the valet company must have obviously had an off day at the time, because the under-bonnet job has
resulted in masses of engine lacquer covering parts which weren't cleaned too well.
The result is a nice ingrained stain on certain parts, washer bottle, rocker cover, brake reservior etc etc.
I'm not a big fan of engine steam cleaning and especially this lacquer which starts to crack and peel in time anyhow.
any suggestions as to some sort of spray on water based solution so I can get this stuff off ?
