Aluminium polishing

where to find the paste for aluminium polishing, I saw on TV something very hard like brich that is put on polishing wheel and make instant mirror efect

where ? what? help!!!

Along the same lines, has anyone used weldtite polish? Is it anygood I can get it for trade price (£1.50 a tube I think) but not worth the effort if its crap! Cheers Oli.

i use autoglym metal polish as it gives it a mirror effect
after a bit of elbow grease!

Autosol here to, used it for years on various bikes and cars. The first time you polish an aluminium panel it'll take ages to polish the black stuff the polish turns to off. After that it becomes much easier. Someone said to dip the polishing rag in flour to make this easier. Not tried this though.

Yup works a treat! just put some flour on a saucer or small plate, and just dip the polishing cloth in it and polish off the black stuff. The flour seems to absorb the black rather than keep spreading it.

There's a bloke on ebay sells Autosol in 1kg tins.
I payed £15 for mine.

(Just don't ask why I need to buy by the kg)

If it's bad get some cutting compound for paintwork then work your way down to solvol or Peek or whatever metal polish to finish off.
