Wheel Offsets......again!!

Wheel Offsets......again!!

Want to order my new wheels but still unsure of the offset, so I have attached a diagram of how I think it is.
I currently have 6x14 wheels with an offset of 16mm and the wheels Im looking at are 6.5x15 with an offset of 20mm. Going by how I understand things (rightly or not) the new 15" wheels will protrude an extra 2-3mm further than the old wheels. I know 2-3mm is nothing to worry about, but just want to know if I've understood this correctly.

Cheers

ps sorry for the crappy scan

They are going to protude much further inward, is your lock ok, clearance on trailing arms etc?

If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

offset is given by ET and can be both positive or negavie; make sure it is the correct one.

and yes, your picture is correct with how you understand it.
